100 Years of Love & Laughter

Yesterday I had the honour of decorating for a very special birthday celebration. My best friend, Amber asked me to help design the decor for her Grandmother-in-law's 100th birthday! Grandmas, as we know,  have a soft spot in my heart, so I jumped at the chance to do this. And 100 years?! What a wonderful reason to celebrate!

We wanted to keep the decor simple, but meaningful. Grandma Ferguson loves to do puzzles, so we incorporated that into the design. Her favourite colour is red, and roses are her favourite flower - so we had touches of both throughout the decor. The Vegreville Social Centre provided the perfect location for the event and we couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous January day.

It was so lovely setting up the decor and witnessing how much love this family has for their Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Great - Great Grandma and Aunt! It's a beautiful moment in time to witness and it's why I love being a part of these events.

Special certificates she received for her birthday were on display.
There was even one from the Queen!

Beautiful photos and memories on display.

The centrepieces - red antique books, gorgeous red roses arranged in teacups
and puzzle pieces scattered around each arrangement.

Each centrepiece added a unique addition to the tables.

Amber and her sister-in-law, Nicole did an amazing job of arranging the flowers in all the teacups. The single red rose was the perfect touch. Thank you, ladies!

The social centre all decorated for the wonderful celebration.

The perfect spot for the birthday lady to sit and take photos with her guests.

Grandma Ferguson reminising and looking at photo albums.
(Yes, her outfit matched the decor! SO SWEET!)

I want to pass a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, Mrs. Ferguson! I hope you had a wonderful day celebrating with your family and friends!

And thank you to the entire family for asking me to help with such a momentous occasion.

Sincerely,

Terralyn
